Welcome to the Post-2026 Draft EIS Figure Viewer

This website is a tool for viewing impacts analysis figures from the Post-2026 Operational Guidelines and Strategies for Lake Powell and Lake Mead Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Post-2026 Draft EIS). The purpose of this tool is to facilitate comparison of multiple types of resource impacts in one location. Refer to the Post-2026 Draft EIS for important background and context for this planning process.

The analysis contained in the Post-2026 Draft EIS was made possible in part by the Post-2026 Operations Exploration Tool, which Colorado River Basin stakeholders and interested parties used to explore hundreds of operating strategies, design custom strategies, and analyze performance using a Decision Making under Deep Uncertainty (DMDU) framework. The Post-2026 Operations Exploration Tool can be launched using the link below.

For additional information about how DMDU was applied in the Post-2026 Draft EIS, refer to Chapter 3, Section 2.6 and Appendix E, “DMDU Overview and Approach”.

More Information

The figures are organized based on their locations in the Post-2026 Draft EIS. The associated descriptions are taken directly from the document. A number in brackets, e.g., “[1]”, indicates that there is a footnote in the document that provides additional information. The “Guidance for interpreting this figure” opens a new page with content from Section 3.2.6 that was developed to provide general guidance for understanding different types of figures included in the analysis.

The tab to the side shows diagrams of the basic Lake Powell and Lake Mead operations. The Additional Details button opens a new page with the summaries of all alternatives from Table 2.10.
